Attorney sound bite:  Casey Mattox

LOS ANGELES and DENVER – The Center for Medical Progress issued a new undercover video Thursday that includes more shocking footage of Rocky Mountain Planned Parenthood Vice President and Medical Director Savita Ginde apparently negotiating the sale of aborted baby parts at a Denver Planned Parenthood facility. The video’s release does not violate a very limited order issued this week by a Los Angeles judge, who only temporarily barred the release of footage that features three high-ranking StemExpress executives in California. The order in StemExpress v. The Center for Medical Progress will remain in place until a hearing on Aug. 21.

“People who don’t have anything to hide don’t go to court to stop journalists from reporting the truth,” said CMP’s attorney, Katie Short, legal director of Life Legal Defense Foundation. “As has been more than apparent from the videos that have been released, including the latest one, StemExpress and Planned Parenthood have plenty to hide.”

StemExpress, which advertises that it “fiscally rewards clinics” who provide it with baby parts for research, tried to block the release of several documents posted on the CMP website, including a price list for baby parts, but the judge denied that request.

As CMP explains on its website, the latest video shows Ginde “negotiating a fetal body parts deal, agreeing multiple times to illicit pricing per body part harvested, and suggesting ways to avoid legal consequences.”

“Putting it under ‘research’ gives us a little bit of an overhang over the whole thing,” Ginde says in the video. “If you have someone in a really ‘anti’ state who’s going to be doing this for you, they’re probably going to get caught…. [I]n the beginning, you know, we were like, ‘We don’t want to get called on,’ you know, ‘selling fetal parts across states.’”

Later in the video, as Ginde and other Planned Parenthood staff members pick through baby parts in Petri dishes in a pathology lab to demonstrate their quality, Ginde observes, “It’s a baby,” and then explains what the parts are: “Here’s some organs for you. They’re all attached…. Here’s a stomach, heart, kidney, adrenal.” Then a medical assistant announces, “And another boy!” (#AnotherBoy)

On Wednesday, ADF filed a complaint with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies on behalf of Colorado Family Action against a Rocky Mountain Planned Parenthood abortionist and another employee for their role in not reporting the sexual abuse of a 13-year-old girl brought to them for an abortion by her abuser. Planned Parenthood performed the abortion without notifying her parents as required by law, and then returned her to the custody of the sexual predator, who continued to sexually molest her.

ADF attorneys also represent the former executive director of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment in a lawsuit against Rocky Mountain Planned Parenthood regarding $14 million of taxpayer subsidies the abortion giant received despite a state constitutional amendment that prohibits the use of state taxpayer dollars to directly or indirectly fund abortions.

“These videos not only expose the potential illegality of Planned Parenthood’s actions, they expose the grisly, inhuman nature of Planned Parenthood’s business,” said ADF Senior Counsel Casey Mattox. “You don’t have to be a pro-life advocate to see that Planned Parenthood doesn’t deserve a penny of our taxpayer dollars for their hideous work.” (#DefundPP)
