Planned Parenthood of Northern New England allowed to continue to flout state law

Thursday, May 22, 2014
The following quote may be attributed to Alliance Defending Freedom allied attorney Michael Tierney regarding the Supreme Court of New Hampshire’s decision in New Hampshire Right to Life v.  New Hampshire Board of Pharmacy to allow Planned Parenthood of Northern New England to continue distributing abortion-inducing drugs and other drugs at its six New Hampshire clinics in apparent violation of state law:

“No matter where a person stands on abortion, everyone should agree that the abortion industry has to play by the same rules as everyone else. Planned Parenthood of Northern New England continues to put women at risk by administering abortion pills past seven weeks of pregnancy contrary to FDA safety protocols and New Hampshire law. We are disappointed that the Supreme Court did not reach the merits of NHRTL’s claims and will continue to work alternative avenues to bring PPNNE into regulatory compliance with FDA protocols so that the safety and health of women comes first.”

A separate complaint is currently pending challenging PPNNE’s unsafe distribution of abortion pills. This case will likely be heard by the New Hampshire Supreme Court later this year.
