Mexico Supreme Court upholds pro-life amendments

The following quote may be attributed to Alliance Defending Freedom Senior Legal Counsel Piero Tozzi regarding the Mexico Supreme Court’s rejection Thursday of challenges to pro-life amendments in the Oaxaca and Guanajuato state constitutions:
“The Mexican Supreme Court did not allow pro-abortion ideologues to reopen a settled issue--that half of the states of Mexico can continue to declare in their state constitutions that life must be protected from the moment of conception. This is a victory for life and for the principle of federalism, which we hope the U.S. Supreme Court will take note of as well.”
