House passes bill to protect unborn babies from pain

The following quote may be attributed to Alliance Defending Freedom Senior Counsel Steven H. Aden regarding the U.S. House of Representatives vote Wednesday in favor of the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which would prohibit abortions performed after 20 weeks from conception because of their ability to feel pain:

“Every innocent life deserves to be protected. We commend the House for putting the health and well-being of mothers and unborn children first. Not only does this law protect children in the womb who can experience horrific pain, it also protects mothers from the increased risk of physical harm and the tremendous psychological consequences that come with late-term abortions. The Senate, which will consider the bill next, can rest assured that this is good law.”
