“We commend the members of the Senate who voted to confirm several federal judges this week based upon their integrity, professional competence, and judicial demeanor. For example, these senators didn’t allow the attacks on Amy Coney Barrett’s religious convictions to prevent her from being confirmed. No senator should take the position that a nominee’s faith should make her ineligible to serve on the federal bench. We hope that these newly confirmed judges will continue to interpret the Constitution as our founders intended and affirm our most fundamental freedom—religious liberty, which includes the right not to be discriminated against because of one’s religion.”
