ADF Senior Counsel Doug Napier receives ‘Friend of Care Net’ award

ORLANDO, Fla. — ADF Senior Counsel Doug Napier was honored Friday with the annual “Friend of Care Net” award at the 2011 Care Net National Pregnancy Center Conference in Orlando. Napier received the award in recognition of his service to pregnancy resource centers across the nation.
“ADF is very proud of Doug and his tireless service to pregnancy resource centers,” said ADF President, CEO, and General Counsel Alan Sears. “Pregnancy resource centers provide women with compassionate support and real choice, and Doug has played a vital role in ensuring that their ministry to women and their preborn children continues. It is an honor and a privilege for ADF and Doug to come beside Care Net to support their efforts to protect the health and well-being of women and children.”
In presenting the award to Napier, Care Net President Melinda Delahoyde said, “For four years, Doug has selflessly served Care Net and pregnancy centers with humility, excellence, and a true passion to see the work of the Lord accomplished. Throughout the four years of our joint work with ADF, we have witnessed the passage of four anti-pregnancy center bills designed to shut the centers down. But due to the countless hours and resources that ADF and Doug have devoted to serve pregnancy resource centers, judges have ruled in favor of the centers and against the hostile bills in every decision thus far. Doug has been a great defender of pregnancy centers and life.”
