UPDATE (2015-06-08): The Supreme Court did not hand down a decision in this case on June 8, so no news conference is being held. As of this time, the next scheduled date for a possible decision is Monday, June 15. A new media alert regarding a press conference on that date will be issued on Friday, June 12.

The church uses small, temporary signs to invite and direct the community to its services. The town of Gilbert’s sign code imposes strict limits on the size, location, number, and duration of the church’s signs. It does not impose the same restrictions on political, ideological, and homeowners’ association signs. The U.S. Supreme Court, which heard oral arguments in the case on Jan. 12, has the opportunity to decide whether the government can single out one form of speech over another based on how worthy the government thinks it is.
