Henry McMaster’s signing Tuesday of H. 5538, the Guarantee Banking Act. The law prohibits large financial institutions with more than $100 billion in assets from canceling accounts or denying financial services because of a person’s constitutionally protected political or religious views, speech, or affiliations:

But when big banks weaponize their control of financial services to punish those with disfavored or unpopular views, they are just as threatening to freedom as Big Brother. Craig Gagnon for introducing this critical legislation.”
