SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.  — ADF President, CEO, and General Counsel Alan Sears issued the following statement Friday afternoon on the passing of Sam Ericsson, former ADF board member, founder and president of Advocates International and former executive director of the Christian Legal Society.

“Sam Ericsson was a pillar of faith, service, and the law,” said Sears. “He was a pioneer and stalwart of the Christian legal movement and served as a friend and mentor to many of us here at ADF. While we grieve the loss of Sam here on earth, we rejoice that he is now in a joyous place with no more sorrow and no more pain. The entire ADF team expresses our most heartfelt condolences to his wife, Bobby, and family as they deal with the loss of this great man and humble servant.”
